As a small or new business your website needs to be fast, findable and intuitive. It needs to look smart, be easy to use, and most of all give the user the information they need
You probably don't want to spend your time thinking about websites. You want something that looks professional, works properly on phones, tells people what you do and makes it easy for potential customers to get in touch. That's what I can help with.
Whether you need a simple one-page website, a site for an established business or something more bespoke, I'll help you work out what you actually need and recommend an approach that makes sense for your business and your budget.
Websites from £399 · £0/month hosting available
Your website doesn't need to be complicated.
For many small businesses, a few well-designed pages are all you need to explain what you do, show people why they should choose you and give them an easy way to get in touch.
I'll help you work out what information your customers need, how it should be presented and what your website needs to do.
That might mean a straightforward website with a handful of pages. It might mean a simple one-page site. Or you may need something more involved.
I'll recommend what I think is right for you — not what happens to be the most expensive option.
A cost-effective online presence.
If you just need to get your business online, a one-page website could be all you need.
It's ideal for sole traders, new businesses, tradespeople and small organisations that want a professional online presence without the cost or complexity of a larger website.
Quality solutions for local businesses.
Need a few more pages to explain your services, introduce your business and give customers the information they're looking for? I'll create a professional website that's easy to navigate, works well on mobile devices and can grow with your business.
Your website can include things like:
Home and About pages
Services or product information
Contact forms
Testimonials and reviews
Images and galleries
Links to social media
Google Maps
Blog or news content
Analytics and search optimisation
You don't need to decide all of this before we start. We'll work it out together.
Sometimes a standard website isn't quite enough.
If you have a particular idea, need something to work in a specific way or already have an established website that needs a bigger rethink, we can talk about what's possible.
My background is in technology and digital delivery, so I'm comfortable dealing with projects that go beyond a straightforward website.
And if there's a simpler way to achieve what you want, I'll tell you.
There isn't one answer that's right for everyone. I work with different website platforms, including Google Sites and WordPress, and I'll recommend the option that makes the most sense for your needs, budget and how much control you want over the website.
For many small businesses, Google Sites is a surprisingly good option. It's simple, fast and easy to manage, and there's no monthly hosting charge.
That means you can have a professional website without adding another monthly bill to your business expenses. It's particularly well suited to straightforward business websites and smaller projects.
If you need more flexibility, functionality or room to grow, WordPress can be a better fit. It's a powerful platform with a huge range of options, but it also comes with more things to manage.
I'll explain the advantages and disadvantages rather than simply telling you that WordPress is the answer.
That's absolutely fine. You don't need to choose a platform before you get in touch. Tell me what you're trying to achieve and I'll recommend what I think will work best.
Whatever platform we use, there are some things I consider essential.
Your website is often the first impression someone has of your business. It should look credible, reflect what you do and give visitors confidence.
Most people will visit your website on a mobile device. Your site needs to be easy to read, navigate and use on smaller screens.
Visitors shouldn't have to hunt for information. They should quickly understand what you do and know what to do next.
Your website should be built with search engines in mind, with sensible page structure, useful content and the basics of SEO in place.
Whether that's a phone number, email address, contact form or something else, visitors should have an obvious way to take the next step.
Where appropriate, I'll show you how to make changes yourself. Or, if you'd rather leave the technical stuff to me, that's fine too.
I don't believe in making things unnecessarily complicated. Websites start from £399, with the final price depending on what you need.
A simple one-page website will cost less than a larger website with more pages, functionality and content. Before I start any work, I'll explain what's included and what it will cost. If you want to add something later, I'll explain the additional cost before doing the work.
And if I think there's a simpler or cheaper way to achieve what you want, I'll tell you. No hidden surprises. No unnecessary features.
Tell me about your business, what you're trying to achieve and what you think you need.
You don't need to know anything about websites. That's my job.
I'll explain your options in plain English and recommend what I think makes sense for you and your budget.
I'll create your website and you'll be able to see it taking shape. You can give me feedback and ask questions along the way.
Once you're happy, I'll get everything ready and help you understand what you need to know about running your website.
That's it. No jargon. No disappearing act.
You don't necessarily need a new one. If you've already got a website but it's looking a bit tired, isn't working well on mobile, isn't bringing in enquiries or simply isn't doing what you need, I can take a look. Sometimes a few changes can make a big difference.
I can help with things like:
Improving the design
Making the site easier to use
Improving mobile usability
Updating content
Improving search visibility
Fixing problems
Making recommendations for a bigger redesign
It might be that your existing website just needs some attention.
Every business is different. Here are a few examples of websites I've built for clients.
That's probably more common than you think.
You don't need to arrive with a detailed specification or know which platform you want to use.
Tell me what you're trying to achieve and I'll help you work out the best way forward.
And if a website isn't actually what you need, I'll tell you that too.
No hard sell. No obligation. No confusing sales pitch. Just a chat.
