These terms set out the basis on which I provide web design, development, SEO and related services to my clients.
MadeByCoast is a trading name of Salt and Code Limited, a business based in Whitley Bay in North Tyneside. I provide web design, development, SEO and related services to small businesses, sole traders and organisations across the UK.
For the purposes of these terms, I’ll be referred to as “I”, “me” or “my” and you’ll be referred to as “you” or “your”.
These terms and conditions apply to all work carried out by MadeByCoast, whether it’s a new website, changes to an existing site, SEO work or any other service. By asking me to work on your project, you agree to these terms.
If you have any questions, please get in touch before we start.
I’ll provide the services we’ve agreed, which may include website design and development, website updates, SEO, content, support and other related services. The specific details, including scope, timescales and price, will be confirmed in writing before any work starts.
I’m happy to discuss your needs and will always be clear about what’s included and what isn’t.
To help me deliver your project, you’ll need to:
Provide any information, content, images or access I need, when agreed.
Respond to questions and feedback in a reasonable time.
Make sure you have the right to use any content you provide or ask me to use.
Approve content and design before the site goes live (where this applies).
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is due as set out in our proposal or invoice. This may include a deposit, stage payments or a single payment, depending on the project. My approach to pricing is explained here.
If I’m providing ongoing support or care, payment will be due in advance, unless we agree something different.
Late payments may be subject to interest, and I reserve the right to pause work if payments are not received as agreed.
You’re responsible for ensuring that any content you provide is accurate, lawful and doesn’t infringe the rights of others. You confirm that you have the right to use any images, text or other material you provide.
Once the final payment has been made, you’ll own the content and design I create for you, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
If you want to make changes to the agreed scope of work, I’ll let you know how this might affect the cost and timescale. Any changes will need to be confirmed in writing.
If you need to cancel a project, please get in touch as soon as possible. I’ll do my best to accommodate your request, but if work has already started, you may still be liable for the costs involved up to that point.
